Ginny Darke

Cloudgazing

Today, the sky is full of soft inventions —

we lie back and watch them break down.

You think one looks like a man

giving up mid-sentence.

I’m reminded that everything is almost something.

One was briefly a horse,

then a horse with its head missing,

then not a horse at all.
